This is a great book that is a great illustration of Hispanic life in California in the sixties. I literally could not put this book down. It is about a girl that is thrust into a world that was previously unknown to her. She is forced to leave her comfortable life after a horrible accident. She becomes a migrant worker and is wrapped up in the prejudice of a society that does not want her and other migrants to be a part of it.
